Commissioned by The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation to create a book about their application of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in community stroke rehabilitation service – developing a personalized and holistic rehabilitation journey.

The World Health Organization established ICF in 2001 as a standard language and a conceptual basis for the definition and measurement of health and disability. The recent Persons with Disabilities and Rehabilitation Programme Plan published in 2020 by the Hong Kong SAR Government has also recommended the use of ICF in various areas as one of the strategic directions and recommendations. This book shares how HKSR adopts ICF application in rehabilitation and social services, from a multiple stakeholders’ perspective.
